This ninth release in F:NEX’s Japanese Doll Figure series created in collaboration with the long-established doll maker Yoshitoku is based on new artwork by popular illustrator Fuzichoco that transforms Miku into a lovely and beautiful Japanese doll figure.

The word “hatsune” in Japanese culture originally refers to the sound of birds and insects singing for the first time in the year, and that profound feeling of spring has been carefully captured as a bird lands on Miku’s outstretched hand. A vibrant feeling of warmth and peacefulness is also captured in her meticulously sculpted face, which features jewel-like eyes that seem to sparkle, a hint of blush on her cheeks, and cherry-red lips.

For her distinctive kimono, prototypes were repeatedly made for the fabric of the furisode sleeves so that the patterns would connect to each other even across the sewing lines, and gold foil stamping was applied to give it a glittering gold sheen. The vibrant patterns of the kimono were created with the traditional yuzen dyeing technique using molds to carefully dye one color at a time. This time-honored tradition, though time and labor-intensive, is what gives the kimono its unique depth of color. Traditional accessories complete her lovely ensemble, including a beautiful floral hair ornament and geta sandals.
